Melissa grew up in a small farming community in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. She is a free-spirited gal with a knack for seeing how things can be created, recreated, up-cycled and refurbished. She loves to give new life to old classics. She has a history of picking up stray furniture alongside the road and turning it into a thing of beauty. Her true love for vintage and refurbishing came to light a few years ago and is now full throttle.
With her experience in special events at various levels in the community and her love for vintage, she created BLUE HENS MARKETS AND ROADSHOWS in 2018 with the goal of bringing together others who share her love.
BLUE HENS MARKETS AND ROADSHOWS began as a is a traveling market with a modern twist that was held a few times a year in different locations. However, since July 2022, this market has evolved since Melissa purchased and updated an 1895 Presbyterian Church in the Village of Bryanston, ON.
Here she will host vendors in a brick-and-mortar location from March - December 2024. All participating emerging vendors who participate in Melissa’s markets sell their best goods of antiques, vintage, shabby-chic and farmhouse and will be hand-selected to make sure that shoppers get the best shopping experience.
Hours of operation Friday & Saturday10 am - 5 pm and Sunday 11 am - 5 pm.
